PLEIN AIR
Painting outdoors allows me to slow down, observe the landscape and capture the changing light, colour and atmosphere as it happens. Many of my paintings begin this way- beside a river, in the countryside or somewhere that catches my eye.
THE STUDIO
LANDSCAPE TO THE STUDIO
My studio is where the ideas gathered outdoors begin to take shape.
After painting, sketching and talking photographs in the landscape, I bring those back to my studio in Lismore, where I develope them through colour, texture and expressive brushwork.
