"Strength, Katie Taylor"

Strength was created in response to an extraordinary moment in Irish sporting history.

Inspired by the intensity, movement and emotion of Katie Taylor’s final professional fight at Croke Park, this piece explores something bigger than the boxing ring — strength, resilience, determination and the belief to keep moving forward.

I wanted to capture the split second where everything is in motion: the force of the punch, the defence, the tension and the energy of the crowd beyond the canvas.

Painted in my own expressive style, Strength combines bold movement with vibrant flashes of colour against a deep, atmospheric background.

This is my interpretation of a moment that means so much to Irish sport — and to so many people who have followed Katie Taylor’s remarkable journey.
