"Anne-Marie"

This painting is titled "Anne-Marie". The subject, named Anne-Marie, has lovely Irish red hair and happens to be the wife of a friend of mine. As I worked on this canvas on a sunny summer day, my friend dropped by and I could see the painting take shape before my eyes.

The painting "Anne-Marie" came to life after I declared to him, "This is Anne-Marie." The natural elements of trees and birds were incorporated to capture the peacefulness I felt while painting in my garden with birds singing in the background.
